Error "'admin' password is not set"

Symptom

An attempt to enable the HTTPS server using thehttps-server vrfcommand fails and the following error is returned:

Failed to enable https-server on VRF. 'admin' password is not set

Cause

The switch is shipped from the factory with a default user namedadminwithout a password. Theadminuser must set a valid password before HTTPS servers can be enabled.

Action

1. From the global configuration context, set a valid password for theadminuser.

   For example:

   switch(config)#user admin password改变密码用户管理员输入密码:* *********** Confirm password:************
