This option configures the time duration between two consecutive beacon requests sent to a 802.11k client. By default, the beacon requests are sent to a 802.11k client every 60 seconds. However, if a different value is required, thebcn-req-timeoption can be used.

This permits values in the range from 10 seconds to 200 seconds.

The wide channel bandwidth information element is included in the neighbor report responses by default, when the dot11k setting is enabled on theInstant AP. This parameter disables the setting when dot11k is enabled and stops the wide channel bandwidth information element from being included in the neighbor report responses.
