Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD) is a networking protocol that detects faults between devices. The EdgeConnect appliance supports BFD for both BGP and OSPF.

• Single and multi-hop BFD configurations are supported.

• BFDasynchronous mode is supported.

Configuring BFD for BGP or OSPF is a two-step process:

1. 单击“ BFD”选项卡上“ BFD”表中列出的设备的编辑图标，然后在BFD对话框上启用并配置BFD。有关详细信息，请参阅BFD对话框。

2. Enable BFD for each BGP peer or OSPF interface.

   1. For BGP, navigate to配置>网络> Routing > BGP。单击BGP表中列出的设备的编辑图标，然后单击添加要添加BGP对等，或单击BGP对等表中列出的现有BGP对等图标的编辑图标。选择BFDcheck box, make other changes as appropriate, and then click添加or保存。

BFD选项卡提供了BFD信息的两种视图：

• Click theSummaryBFD选项卡上的按钮显示与本地设备关联的配置详细信息。有关现场描述，请参阅BFD对话框。

• Click theSessionsbutton to display currently active BFD sessions. BFD establishes a session between two endpoints over a particular link. If more than one link exists between two systems, multiple BFD sessions can be established to monitor each of them.

通过细分过滤

要滤除BFD表中显示的行：

• Select默认from theSegment为系统提供的默认段显示的下拉列表，或

• Select one of the other listed segments, which reflect the custom segments defined using Routing Segmentation (Configuration > Networking > Routing > Routing Segmentation (VRF)).

Select全部to display for all segments, which is the default setting.

The following table describes the fields displayed in the Sessions view of the BFD tab.
